A flower with its vibrant, created life shines from the garden. Its declaration of the might of its Maker can been seen, and it is picked to be brought indoors. Inside it still reflects the beauty, the wondrous beauty, as it drinks in the water from the glass. It brightens up the surroundings with its peaceful and cheerful face.
As time passes, it begins to fade as all life fades. Like that of a sunset, the colors disappear and the petals lose their fresh, original form as they wither.
Yet we know that, unlike the flower that fades, there is a power that is strong and unending. It is God. He has given us His Word which will never change, disappear, or return void. His Word will stand forever.
All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.
The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
—Isaiah 40:6b-8

Beautiful photo; beautiful, wonderful, truth.
Fabulous photo Emily! Thanks for sharing those passages from Scripture too – they’re very applicable and serve as a good reminder to those of us who often have misplaced priorities in life.
Beautiful composition, Emily!
I love how you place such timely scripture with your photos.
Beautiful and simple – so powerfully illustrating the beauty and sustainability of God’s Word!
Lovely photo! I particularly like the different shades of pinks and yellows in the rose, if I am not mistaken.
This picture’s contrast is exquisite! The verses you chose are certainly very fitting.
That is beautiful, Emily! The photo and the thoughts.
Very nice job!!!
Beautiful picture Emily!! I love how not only the flower is fading but also the snow. Your scripture verse is so perfect. Only the word of God will stand forever.
What a pretty flower! Love it when they’re that color : )
Exactly what I was thinking of for the theme minimalism. :) Beautiful shot, Emily Rose.
